The International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines hold its 2009 Meeting on October 2-3, 2009 at the Holiday Inn, Cologne.

The IACM honoured four people for their major contributions to cannabinoid research and/or to the re-introduction of cannabis into modern medicine with the IACM Award. In 2009 the IACM Award for Basic Research went to Manuel Guzman, the IACM Award for Clinical Research to Mark Ware, the IACM Award for Young Researchers to Istvan Katona and the IACM Special Award went to Ethan Russo.
