During the Meeting the IACM will honour four persons for special achievements regarding the re-introdudtion of cannabis and cannabinoids as medicine. We would like you to propose candidates and send your proposal by e-mail to award2009@cannabis-med.org until November 30, 2008. The IACM Award Committee consisting of Donald Abrams, Ester Fride, Giovanni Marsicano, Mario van der Stelt, Mauro Maccarrone, Raphael Mechoulam, and Willy Notcutt will elect the Awardees.
IACM Award for Clinical Resarch
Candidates should have made a major contribution to the re-introduction of cannabis and cannabinoids as medicine through clinical research.
IACM Award for Basic Research
Candidates should have made a major contribution to the re-introduction of cannabis and cannabinoids as medicine through basic research.
IACM Award for Young Researchers
Candidates should have made a considerable contribution to the re-introduction of cannabis and cannabinoids as medicine through basic or clinical research. Awardees should be not older than 40 years.
IACM Special Award
Candidates should have made a major contribution to the re-introduction of cannabis and cannabinoids as medicine through political, social and legal achievements.
